Captain Disillusion is the alter ego of a very talented visual effects artist and film maker Alan Melikdjanian (read more on Wikipedia).

He has gained a huge YouTube following by debunking fake viral videos through meticulous analysis, spotting all the tell tales signs that are the tricks of his trade.

His VFXcool series was a passion project looking at those who came before them and what they were able to achieve before the days of CGI (computer generated images / computer graphics). He focuses on the Back to the Future trilogy and highlights how groundbreaking the film was when it comes to pushing what was possible with visual effects.
